The Central Wisconsin Children's Museum wants to be beneficial for every child so we open the museum exclusively for families that have children with exceptional needs, including autism . The museum is available for parents and children to play together in a "less overwhelming" atmosphere.
A variety of games will be offered that focus on different strengths and skills of players. Games are developed by professional educators, with emphasis on special needs. Games are facilitated by UWSP Special Education students. Players can win Jing (fake museum money) and spend their Jing on healthy snacks at the end of the night.
Since not all participants will take part in games, the museum is fully open for play as well. The Create It! art room will also be open and augmented with education students, as well as CWCM staff
