Kids and their families kick off Wisconsin's healthiest weekend with Kids Walk Wisconsin. The Central Wisconsin Children's Museum in partnership with the Walk Wisconsin are teaming up to host this non-competitive event for children.
Kids can experience the excitement of Walk Wisconsin on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Kids Walk Wisconsin. The fun and excitement begins at 12:30pm from the band shell at Pfiffner Pioneer Park. Children of all ages are invited to participate in the 1.3 or 2.6 mile walk along the Wisconsin River. Refreshments will be available along the route and at the end of kid's walk. If your child is up for the challenge, walk with him/her for the 1/4 marathon (6.5 miles) of Walk Wisconsin.
Registration is $5 per child or $10 per family.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Check-in at the event will start at 11am on Saturday, June 5.
Walk Wisconsin is an event is designed to serve as a catalyst that energizes Wisconsinites to become healthier through regular exercise, and more knowledgeable about healthy living. The full marathon, half marathon and quarter marathon options utilize the beautiful trail systems in and around Portage County's urban area. This is not a competitive race, but one that encourages walkers of all ages and ability levels.
