We received our first submission from a student at Lincoln High School! We wanted to incorporated different aspects of STEM and they did just that.
Our STEM Lab is a brainchild of our director Cory. Before he was our director he was involved in our board of directors. He has a passion for STEM and Legos and wanted to open a Lego Lab at CWCM for older students to participate in while their parents and younger siblings played in the rest of the museum. In early 2020, we sold our building and have moved all of our admissions and exhibits upstairs. This included the Lego lab that was soon to open. We managed to rearrange the Good to Grow Grocery and incorporate it into our Down on the Farm Exhibit. This left a sizeable space for the Legos and a STEM Lab.
Our STEM lab currently consists of Lego products such as Lego Technic vehicles, Lego Coding Express train sets, and Lego Education Spike Prime sets. We hope to expand this area to include other STEM activities and exhibit pieces.
