Weekly Programs

Art Room Weekly Themes and Creations - Wednesday through Saturday at 11am & 2pm; Thursdays at 6pm; Sundays at 2pm.
Each week in the Art Room, the museum rotates themes and activities designed to encourage children and their caregiver to create, design and build on their hands-on skills of cutting, pasting, gluing, drawing and more.  The weekly art room project is available for one hour, and is set-up as a self-guided project.  Project examples, directions and supplies are provided.  Build on your child's confidence and creativity in the Art Room!

**The weekly programs listed below are planned for September 2010.
Watch for new programs when we move into our new home, anticipated October 2010.
Art for Little Fingers - Wednesdays at 10am
Join us each Thursday morning and get those creative juices flowing!  All ages are welcome for this class that lets the child explore a different Art project each week.  From glue sticks, to paint, to cotton balls, you and your child are sure to have some good clean (or messy) fun!

Toddler Music - Thursdays at 10am
(Class size limit:  First 30 children.)
Toddler Music (for children ages 1 to 5 years).  Toddler Music enhances early learning skills by introducing beginning musical concepts that are developmentally age appropriate—such as rhythmic patterns with instruments, rhymes, simple tunes, and movement—and provides the foundation for continued interest in the arts.  Toddler Music is available to groups of more than 8 children by special arrangement.  Additional $25 per group; Member Groups $20 per group.

Dig into Fun - Fridays at 10am
Children will explore and observe different materials each week using their hands!  From moon sand, to slime, to glue mixes and more!  Don't miss the opportunity to really touch, feel and play with your children.

Sunday Stories - Sundays at 12:30pm
Each week, the museum will provide special books for parents to read to their children.  Some weeks the museum will provide a guest storyteller to read to the visitors.  Many weeks will include an art project or giveaway to go along with the story. Come down and connect with your child through books!
*Sunday Stories is supported by a grant from Target.
